About

For more than fifteen years I have specialized in the preservation and digitization of archival sound recordings for major cultural heritage institutions, including the Smithsonian and the Library of Congress. My work centers on the conservation of at-risk magnetic and grooved media, large-scale collection treatments, and designing audio preservation workflows and infrastructure. I have led and collaborated on numerous international and federally funded preservation initiatives, including projects in the United States, Georgia, and Taiwan, and regularly share this work through conference presentations and workshops for archives, museums, and universities.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with Honors from Belmont University, and a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from The George Washington University.

I live in University Park, MD, with my wife, where I continue to pursue projects at the intersection of audio technology, preservation, and cultural heritage.
